Cool….Mave turned me on to this site a few years ago, great to see it’s still going strong. I played bass for the Cartoon Pupils, Playground and the gladstones we did our share of shows at the Brickyard and the Drumstick….those were the days! Living in the burbs south of Denver, married with two beautiful little girls and four cats. I still talk to Mave, Blade and Al occasionally. Cheers

I didn't grow up in Lincoln, although I spent most of my summers here. My cousin Cara went to southeast and introduced me to Harry Dingman, Lori Allison, Sean Michaud, Randy Watson and Jake Ryan when I was 15 or so. Moved to Lincoln in '88 and started going to shows at the Culture Center where I saw 13 Nightmares, Mannequin Beach, and Sideshow. Hung out at the Beach House a lot back then-can't believe some of the things I did!!! Sad I missed out on the Drumstick and Brickyard days. I spent my high school years living in Detroit and Flint where we had St. Andrews Hall and the Capital Theatre (respectively) where I saw a lot of crazy punk bands. I just moved back to Lincoln from LA where I went to grad school. Lincoln is still a great place with a lot of great bands. Maybe not as crazy as the Brickyard days, but we all have to grow up sometime (not!).

I check in on this site from time to time but have lost contact with the few people i hung out with in jr high and high school and into my early 20s dont really know what prompted me to finally sign in??? I am currently living in juneau, alaska teaching elementary school, raising 2 boys 11 and 8, going to school in the fall (hopefully) to major in marine biology-- think i have finally found a comfy place in life (for now) but these times posted on this web site are definately the best by far. Anyone that remembers me - the really quiet one that was always hanging out with mindy - feel free to email me if you wish to chat Joanna Schaumburg

Was in a couple of bands in Seattle since 1992, when things were really happening out there. Yes...I knew all of these famous people; so what. A dear friend of mine was killed, a singer for a band called 'The Gits', and that kind of put a damper on the local music scene in the Pacific NW. 10 years later they caught the guy. And then, yeah, Curt died, so there's that.

oops...I forgot to mention how cool it is to stray into this website. There is even a photo of me playing the drums in here. You know, I still have those drums, and believe me when I say they've been through a lot. Hell...they're older than me. Anyway, great site, and thank you whoever you are that created it!
