Wow, Mindy, this site is wonderful. The photos from The Brickyard and Knight of Pythias stir up a lot of fun memories. This is probably the only place where good times and good people are bding memorialized for the rest of us to share. Good to see some old schoolers popping in ... hope you're all doing well and still find time to listen your early-80s, L.A. hardcore when the kids aren't around. I emailed a link to everybody on my buddy list and the old Repeller bandmates. Brian Farr (Repeller, Chronic, Thread) is still playing live. His band is called The Third Side (http://www.thethirdside.com One of the living members of PSW, Phil Judt (http://www.philjudt.com recently moved to North Carolina where is still making music, as well as making babies and tons of cash. Ran into Mike Coleman a few weeks ago at the YMCA. Like myself, Mike seems to have found his niche playing the role of Daddy. Me? I left Lincoln for Cedar Rapids for a year (1994-95), but found myself back in Lincoln where I started a dot-com business. I sold the business three years ago and remain with the company as V.P. In addition to producing a high-traffic website (http://www.whowon.com or http://www.racefan.com we also provide marketing and labor management for people and businesses in the motorsports industry. Still fat, still obnoxious and still loved by all .... Jeff

Very very cool, Mindy. You took me way back. I really appreciate the "In Memory of" section. I still think about Schleich and Jake alot. It makes me think of the summer we all quit our jobs and went on tour (PSW). I've lived alot since then. I ended up moving to L.A. for a year, going to school to be a studio drummer. I came back, and played professionally for about three years. I've been married twice, divorced once, have a six year old boy, 17 year old step-daughter, am now in North Carolina. I'm a web developer by day, and still looking for music at night. Though the music is a little different, I still have my speed-metal chops. Thanks a ton for the memories! http://www.philjudt.com

I think that this site is great!! I see all of the faces that I remember and all of the names. I remember hanging at the "Yard" and Malone. Phil Judt and I became bestfriends and played in about 4 bands together and since that wasn't enough we married sisters so now I can say that he is my "bro". I am still making music with Mike Pardee (Hemlock, Thread) and we are working on a disc. Check us out www.thethirdside.com I have a 2yr old son that has put me into daddy mode. I just wanted to drop you a not and thank you for all of the great memories - Brian

Thanks to Mindy for making me smile *and* feel old. I live in Colorado, married a bike-racer/carpenter, and have a long-haired 6 yr. old boy (who loves Fugazi). Still doing the Arctic logistics gig & loving it (8 yrs.), but traveling too much sometimes. Hoping to retire at a ridiculously early age, move to the mountains & start writing my manifesto. All the best to old friends and DEFEAT THE MOST UN-PUNK ROCK PRESIDENT EVER IN NOVEMBER! -Susan

Wow!!! It is just wild to see these old photographs and read what old friends have been up to. I don't remember you, Mindy, but thanks for doing this! Thanks also to Tammy (Crawford) Parker who told me about this site. My husband, Vincent Gould, couldn't stop gasping while he was surfing the site! Let's see, what have I been up to since the mid-80's working at Dirt Cheap and being drunk (of course, never at the same time, right?! HA!)? Funny enough, after college, I became a drug and alcohol counselor and worked in the corrections system in lancaster county and for the state of NE. Vincent and I got married, had 2 boys (Griffin 7, Macaulay 2.5) and moved to Nashville, TN. After working for 6 years in technology in Nashville, Vincent started doing rehab on old houses and we either rent them or sell them. I'm with the boys, what a blast, I am just crazy about them and being their mom. I help with our properties too. I have some old photos, a copy of the SPIN magazine with the article featuring the Gladstones (old Playground members) that I will try to dig up and send. Mandy- I too have an old Dead Kennedy's t-shirt that I have kept! Has anyone seen Clif Holmquist, Shawn Michaud? What are you guys up to? Lori (Sup) Hoffman- great to see you on here, I would love to hear from you and catch up! Amy Shriner? Where are you now? Wanda Vich? Jake, Colin, RIP. This is great, thanks so much for creating this site! -- Shannon

hola fellow lancastercountygravitators.I just stumbled on this site after seaching for anything about jacob ,p.s.w.,the brickyard for weeks and weeks.ahhhhhhhhhhh the nostalgia of it all.Just as rug eye said, i remember many days and nights with jacob and having him turn to me with that inquisitive look saying,"why ya gettin' cold on me?"Or watching Jacob skate down the senior dip at lincoln high with that wild assed grin from ear to ear.One of the funniest memories of jacob was from lincoln high. The bell rang and we were late.I was off to algebra which was right next to our lockers.Jacob looked at me with that maniacal grin, turned on his boom box full blast ,shut his locker and ran off.Needless to say the classes in the wing werent really into bad brains rock for light at maximum volume emanating from jake's locker.I believe i was the only one enjoying it.jacob you are sorely missed every single day as you reside on my desktop now. Thanks for the pictures to go along with the memories."HI GEORGE!!"

Mindy, I don't know if you will remember me or not, but I used to hang out with Vachal, Brown, Phillips, you know the rest. Anyway, people always thought I was pissed off and tough because I didn't talk much. Usually had a cycling hat on though. I always had a huge crush on you..... Anyway, spent some time with Naval Special Warfare, now I really cannot say where and what is up. "Interesting" to see this site, it drums up some weird memories from long ago.

This is amazing! Thanks for putting this together. So many memories and still trying to figure out a timeline. Much is skewed (ya know what I mean). My first encounter at the Brickyard was with my friend Paul, from One Dark Rabbit. PSW was playing and the rest is history. I was hooked. Moved to New York after high school,UNL,ranch in Colorado,Minneapolis, and have been in Colorado for the remainder. Married,no babies, lots of pets.Great to see so many familiar names and recollections. I'll pass the torch.
