Wow...what can I say...has it really been that long ago?!?! Dan and I drive by the old brickyard building once in a while and the great memories resurface. I have kept in touch with some old friends, found others again, hope to run into others sometime on the road ahead, and very much miss those that are gone. Hope everyone is doing great! ......lori

very cool website! i have such great memories of the brickyard days. great idea, mindy. in a nutshell, i'm still in lincoln, work for the gallup organization six years now, as a project manager, was married for seven years, no kids, and am actually planning a move to toronto in the next couple of months. i will try and find some old pic's that i have and send them in. being a PSW groupie and tree's girlfriend, i think i may have a few good one's! it's awesome to see some old friends in the photos. is that flowerday's ramp??? nice flop, eggie! i love the pic with tiffany stroh. she's still a great friend and is due to have her first baby anyday now! I still have a few good old t-shirts around such as DRI, dead kennedy's etc....they will always remind me of my punk rock roots! hope everyone is doing well! mandy m.

You silly punk rockers you! LOL Brings back some memories!!! Most of you prob' don't know me, but those times with the old punker gang were some of my best high school memories! If you ever saw some headbanger guy running around with Vachal, T. Brown, Phillips, etc. that was me!

These day I am just hanging out in Denver (sometimes with my old pal Mindy!). Just gearing up to go back to school and enjoying the mountains as much as I possibly can! Can't believe we are all hitting 30!

Take care and good luck! Timmo

Damn Mindy! I was able to while away a good hour and a half atleast (on the clock of course) checkin this out. Thanks for putting this together. The Brickyard. . .holy shit!... so many great shows over the years. The bands I saw there that stick out in my mind for whatever reason are : D.R.I. (I was a huge Dealing With It freak. ..I'll never forget that one), Die Kreuzen (pretty sure I saw them there? who knows. .many blackouts since then), Scared Straight, Ill Repute, N.O.T.A., C.O.C. (one of the stinkiest bands I've ever come across. . you could smell their van 30 feet away downwind and Mike literally had mold in his dreads. so cool), Capital Punishment (they were older than Bill), Life Sentence (supplemented their on the road income peddling reefer.. don't ask me how I know that), Beyond Possession (hotter than hell summer night. .had never seen or heard of them and they just ripped) , The Faction (got to skate with Cab a couple times), J.F.A , Face First (Okeys I got to play a show with in Edmond, OK after I moved to Texas, they loved Lincoln) and of course all the local bands Baby Hotline, Lunchmeat, P.S.W., Peer Puppet (what the hell happened to Ronnie?), John Juberts Bait Shop. . .man!. ...so many fond memories of that place. Too many to count. Hope all is well with everybody. I recently dusted off my rectors and helmet and started skating again periodically. There's a cool park up here called the 3rd Lair with a wooden bowl that I found irresistible. My return to skating was kinda funny. My board and wheels are sooooo much bigger than what kids skate today. I caught a few raised eye brows from the locals but I'm the "old guy" now so I'm not held to the same scrutiny as their peers. C'est la vie! I don't remember hippers hurting so bad for so long. . . .fuck it! take care everybody! Steve p.s. I'm in Minneapolis now. Get ahold of me if you're ever in town

I don't think we know each other...but we probably ran into one another at the brickyard back in the early eighties. I am pumped to see that someone has a site up in remembrance of some important and fun times. Many years later, i still listen to and love the music. Hopefully i can get some pictures scanned for you from the past and definitely have some good one's with Jake in them.

Holy shit! It's been a long fuckin' time! This is the coolest shit that anyone could do... Mindy, you're the best for doing this! I want to say hi to everyone that I haven't seen in years. I still beat the drums like a fuckin' monkey, even though they're now sitting in my garage... Those were the best years of my life! I miss everyone. I'm still alive … and kicking ass in California!!! I'm the art director for Hot Bike, a Harley magazine. For those that don't know me, I was the biggest rocker in Lincoln, Nebraska, with Speedwobble, U.S.M.C., and Fleabag. Loren rocks. Steve Christenson is gay. Scott Smith is a weiner. Jason Serie is Jason Serie (to those who know him). And Kevin Woodson - I don't know where he is, but we rocked really hard and drank many beers and took lots of acid! Yeah! So, to all who ever went to shows, passed out drunk, or went to jail, my hat is off to you! I miss the scene because it will never be like it was in our day. We all loved each other very much and were always there for each other, but now we are old, most decrepit, and still crazy! Mindy, I'm going to send some pictures to rehash old days. Hey to everyone... I'll write again! P.S. Fuck all you floppers! P.P.S. Everyone send me a dollar. I need more beer!!! Still fat, Rusty

Nice place ya got here Mindy. Cool to se all the old pics. I think I drank to much to remember being there though. Those were good times. It was kick ass playin music for all you kooks. I still cant play worth a shit, but I still crank it up and make my neighbors listen to me. I have a 6yr old boy named Taylor who rocks. He settled me down a little, but Im still a spook. I have my own buisness now, custom painting helmets, Harleys and hotrods. Everyone stay young until you die! Loren

Very cool website! Mandy MaCrae told me to check it out. Just sitting here listening to Fugazi and remembering those Brickyard Days. I've been away from Lincoln for almost 10 years now. Currently I live in Seattle and have been married to a wonderful hippy for 4 years now(hippies are almost like punks - just add in group hugs and take away the angst) I work in advertising, although I'm currently taking time off to be with my daughter, born one month ago,on the same day as Bowie's child. Thanks Mindy for creating this website! I do have some great photos to scan...anyone remember going to The Drumstick to see bands? And of course Rich Flowerday's backyard ramp? Great photo of Eggie in the john. Good memories indeed.

Hey all you punkrockers! How is everyone? Its funny but when we used to hang out at the Brickyard, nobody gave much of a crap about computers...and here we all are with email and the internet right at our fingertips. We have all grown up and some of us are parents?! I am anyway. I have three girls now. Twins that turned 4 in August, and a new baby who was born on June 13th. I do have to say that it feels like yesterday that we were there, buying as much beer we could on the least amount of money possible. Since I heard about this website of ours (thanks Mindy), Ive been thinking that someone should try to get a reunion planned! I realize that may be super hard, but think how much fun that would be! Take care everyone. Keep in touch here! Kath

Once I realized that there was a life outside of the skateshop, I eventually moved to Omaha thinking I was in love. OOOPS! I jsut ran into Marty Kirkland no the first of Oct. and he gave me the news. The whole reality of it I don't think will ever set in. It's true that we all thought of ourselves as somewhat invicible, but I thought we'd all live forever. I guess you never really get used to these sort of things, but when he said that you had made this website to look back and remember the fun we all had and the friends of youth, it made things a little easier. Some people probably thought I was just some kind of dork, but Colin always treated me as an equal, and as a friend. He'll always live in my thoughts and my heart.
