Welcome to the Brickyard Daze...New News Ok, I did it, I broke down! Because of the people spamming our Guest Book and making me lock it down, I created a My Space Page for us. http://www.myspace.com/brickyarddaze Bad news everyone! Someone has started to spoof the brickyarddaze.com domain in their mass SPAM emails. They are sending them all over the world selling their CRAP using fake names before the brickyarddaze.com domain! I have already received over 1300 returned or blocked email notices in just 17 days (so just imagine how many actually get through to people's inboxes on a daily basis). That might be why there have been bogus entries in the Guest Book area. The bad news is, if this doesn't clear up soon I will have to kill the domain and this site. I tried contacting the government agency that is trying to protect the US against SPAM (since the FCC can't, or won't), but they have yet to send me a response with how they can help, who I can contact, or what I can do to stop this. So in advance, Sorry Guys! Sorry everyone, but due to the Ass Holes that have been posting their CRAP sites on our Guest Book, I have had to kill the Guest Book for now. But as soon as my Domain Host completes their legal Cease and Desist notifications to all the Spammers that have been spoofing with my domain, things should get back to order. To all the Spammers...yeah, we have been logging your IP's...reverse ping and trace routing is a wonderful thing...
So, apparently when you hit your mid 30's life gets really busy. Sorry about the lack of new stuff. But thanks to Al Wilson, I now have a picture of the Brickyard lease agreement. Slowly but surely, I am getting more pictures. But click here to see the new photos. And I have to send out a BIG I'M SORRY!!! to Brook and Mara Taylor, who sent me a cassette tape over 4 years ago of some Brickyard shows. I am still trying to find the time to master them for clarity and convert them to MP3 for your listening pleasure. ---------------------------- Most everyone who visits this site should remember those evenings spent in that old warehouse on 16th street. And all of the good and the bad that came out of it. But this site is about more than just those warm summer evenings spent listening to the bands play from the parking lot. Or those wicked cold winter evenings spent crammed inside with at least 100 other punks getting beyond warm. It's about memories of our youths, and remembering the friends we spent them with. As I got older, I lost touch with literally everyone I valued spending all my time with back then. Slowly I am finding them...but still have many more to go. So I decided to throw this site together in an effort to try and find the rest of you. I have no big intentions when I do find you all. Just doing it for my own self satisfaction...and wanting to know if you too miss those days of raising hell...and those nights spent at the Brickyard buying beers for $1 from the old-school punks who always seemed to have it with them. So kick back and relax. Surf the site a while. I've put up some of my old pictures, and pictures that have been sent to me. Take a look, maybe you're in one of them too. Of course not all of the pictures are taken at the Brickyard. We did do other things. Some things I probably shouldn't mention... If you have any pictures of the old daze of punk rock in Lincoln that you would like me to add to the site, feel free to email them to me at mindy@brickyarddaze.com and I will get them added as soon as I have the time. In an effort to try and see what everyone is up to now-a-daze I have a guest book page. So take a moment to sign in. Then have a look at who else has dropped by. You'll probably see a name you haven't seen or heard spoken in years. But most importantly, pass the address of this site around to everyone you used to hang out with. That way it will just keep getting bigger and better. Chopped-full of everyone's old pictures, and written memories. -Mindy |
